A live scores app made for the Mac

ScoresMac is a native Mac app, not a website in a window. It lives in your menu bar, follows 22 sports, and stays out of the way until something happens.

Native, and light on your Mac

ScoresMac is written in Swift with SwiftUI and AppKit. There is no Electron and no browser running in the background. The dropdown's views only exist while it is open, and the live dots are animated by Core Animation, so it sits near 0% CPU while you work.

It checks the feeds every 30 seconds while a match is live or about to start, and every 5 minutes otherwise.

Feels like part of macOS

  • No Dock icon and no window: it lives in the menu bar
  • Light and Dark, following your Mac
  • Launches at login if you want it to
  • ⌥⌘S opens your scores from any app
  • A short welcome tour on first launch shows where it lives and sets up your sports

Private by design

There is no account, no analytics and no tracking in the app. It goes online to fetch scores, to look for updates and, if you have Pro, to check your license every few days. Your pins, favourites and settings stay on your Mac.

Download and price

Download it from scoresmac.com, open the disk image and drag ScoresMac to Applications. It needs macOS 13 Ventura or later, on Apple silicon or Intel. Updates are free and install when you restart the app.

The menu bar app is free for good. ScoresMac Pro adds notch mode as a one-time purchase, for up to two of your Macs.
