Sports notifications on your Mac, for your teams only

ScoresMac sends a Mac notification at the moments that matter, but only for the matches you care about: the ones you pin, and every match your favourite teams play.

When you hear about it

With Match alerts on, a pinned match or a favourite team's match sends:

  • ⏱ Starting in 5 minutes, with the teams and the competition
  • Underway, when it starts
  • Goals, wickets, touchdowns and other scores, with the score line
  • A map or game won, in esports
  • 🏆 The winner and the final score, at full time

Only your teams

Nothing else sends a notification. Star your teams in Settings › Favorites, from every team in the big football leagues, the NBA, NFL, NHL and MLB to the cricket, esports, tennis, UFC and rugby sides ScoresMac has seen. Or just pin a match for a one-off.

Flashes in the menu bar

Besides notifications, the menu bar itself lights up in the team's colour for goals, wickets, red cards, maps and wins, each with its own chime. Basketball and baseball skip the per-score flash, since there are too many scores, and mark the result instead.

Quiet when you want it

Turn off Play sounds in Settings to keep the flashes and alerts silent, or turn off Match alerts entirely. They are regular macOS notifications, so System Settings › Notifications and Focus work on them as usual.

Questions

Can I get notifications for just my team?+

Yes. Notifications only come for pinned matches and favourite teams, never for everything.

When does the first alert arrive?+

5 minutes before the start, then at the start, for scores and with the result.

Can I turn the sounds off?+

Yes. Turn off Play sounds in Settings and the alerts and flashes stay silent.

Are the notifications free?+

Yes. Match alerts and the menu bar flashes are part of the free app.
