Live scores in your Mac's menu bar

Pin a match and its live score sits next to the clock, like NTH 2–1 RVR 67'. It stays there in every app, and one click opens the full match card.

Make something happen

Click the notch for the match card, or the score in the menu bar for every sport.

The score next to the clock

The menu bar shows the live pinned match in a compact form: both teams, the score and the clock or overs. Numbers roll when they change, so a goal or a boundary catches your eye without stealing focus.

Pin up to three matches. The one that is live gets the menu bar; the others wait their turn. Pins clear themselves at the end of match day, so there is nothing to tidy up.

One click for the full card

Click the score and a card opens, tinted in both teams' colours. It puts the situation into words, the way a commentator would:

  • Cricket: “India need 30 runs from 10 balls”, with both innings and the batters at the crease
  • Football: the scorers with their minutes, penalties, own goals and red cards
  • Racing: the podium, the gaps and every session of the weekend
  • Esports: each map with its round score

Every sport in the dropdown

Click the ScoresMac icon for the dropdown: a sport picker with the number of live matches in each, then yesterday's results, today's matches and tomorrow's fixtures, grouped by league. Hover any match to pin it.

Press ⌥⌘S from any app to open it from the keyboard.

Moments, in lights

When something big happens, the menu bar flashes in the team's colour: goals, wickets, red cards, maps won and the final result, each with its own chime. You can turn the sounds off in Settings and keep the flashes.

Questions

Can I keep a score in the Mac menu bar all the time?+

Yes. Pin a match and its live score stays in the menu bar until the end of match day. Pin another and it takes over when it goes live.

Does the menu bar score cost anything?+

No. The menu bar score, the card, the dropdown and the flashes are all free.

Will it crowd my menu bar?+

It takes one item. With nothing live it shows the ScoresMac icon, and the score appears only while a pinned match is on.

How fast does it update?+

Every 30 seconds while a match is live or about to start, and every 5 minutes otherwise. Opening the dropdown refreshes straight away.
